The Araneta Coliseum, known as The Big Dome, is an indoor multi-purpose sports arena that is part of the Araneta City in the area of Quezon City, Philippines. It is one of the largest indoor arenas in Asia, and it is also one of the largest clear-span domes in the world.

It was built in 1960 and is a place of legends. The Coliseum was once renamed “Philippine Coliseum” for the benefit of international media who were covering the legendary Thrilla in Manila fight between iconic boxers Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier on October 1, 1975. Three years later in 1978, the Arena was the center of the basketball world, hosting the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

In the 2010s, a significant renovation and modernization of the Arena took place and nowadays, the Araneta Coliseum is mainly used for basketball, as well as other sports like boxing, local and international concerts and more.
