PR N°10 - Venue Passes and Finals Passes for Spain 2014 go on sale

MIES, Switzerland (FIBA Basketball World Cup) - Venue Passes and Finals Passes for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain went on sale on Tuesday on www.fiba.basketball/spain2014/tickets.

The Venue Pass is the easiest way to enjoy all the action in any of the six cities that will host FIBA's flagship event this summer (30 August-14 September) - Bilbao, Gran Canaria, Granada and Sevilla in the Preliminary Round; Barcelona and Madrid in the Final Round.

Fans interested in purchasing the Venue Pass simply have to choose the city they want to visit and can secure their seats for all the sessions held in that particular venue. This consists of 10 sessions (for a total of 15 games) for cities hosting the Preliminary Round, and a total of seven games in the Final Round (four Eighth-Finals, two Quarter-Finals and one Semi-Final) in either Barcelona or Madrid.

Purchasing the Venue Pass entitles customers to save 20 per cent on the official price for the sessions. Venue Passes can be purchased on the Spain 2014 official ticketing website from as low as €103,20 for 15 games.

Finals Passes, which grant combined access to the Final and the Third-Place Game, also went on sale on Tuesday and are available to customers who have purchased Venue Passes for any of the six host cities. The starting price for a Finals Pass is €115 for the two games.

Tickets for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup went on sale in July 2013, first with the 'Follow Your Team - Preliminary Round Pass' and 'Follow Your Team - All Rounds Pass'.

In mid-October, a 'Follow Your Team - Final Round Pass' was made available and can be purchased until the end of February.

There are two remaining ticket types yet to be unveiled: the Day Passes will go on sale on 5 May and the Session Tickets on 1 July. To purchase tickets and find out all the necessary information, go to fiba.com/spain2014/tickets.
