Gameday 4 Top Performers: Jones, Wilson, Magbegor, Talbot, Cado
SYDNEY (Australia) - There were amazing Gameday 4 displays at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, including a trio of ballers from reigning champions USA and fans can now vote to decide who did it best.
USA had a day to remember as they set a new All-Time points high with a record breaking 145-69 win against Korea.
Brionna Jones was on fire and racked up 24 points after going 10 of 12 from the field and pulling down 8 rebounds, which led to the highest performance efficiency valuation of the day at 33. A'Ja Wilson could barely miss either and shot a staggering 91 percent on her way to 20 points and 8 rebounds.
Sasa Cado got the hot-hand from downtown for Serbia as she made six triples in an 81-68 victory against Mali. Her outside shooting clinic was pivotal in her harvesting a 20-point haul.
The last game of the day saw a noisy home crowd roar Australia to a nail-biting 78-75 win against Canada, with Steph Talbot and Ezi Magbegor providing a nice one-two punch. Talbot came close to a triple-double with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists, while Magbegor registered 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks.
