SYDNEY (Australia) - The FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 Local Organizing Committee has announced Anthea Crittle and Lorraine Landon as its final executive team appointments as it approaches the Sydney-hosted event from September 22 to October 1, 2022.

The pair bring extensive experience in their respective fields to undertake the roles of General Manager – Finance and Business Operations and General Manager – Event Operations.

Their appointments complete the Local Organizing Committee's executive team who, alongside CEO Melissa King and fellow General Managers Taryn Kirby and Dustin Lockett, are responsible for the successful delivery of the world's largest international women's basketball event.

Crittle joins the team in Sydney with global business and finance experience across Australia, Europe and the USA. Most recently the Finance Director, Travel and Expense at Uber, Crittle has also held senior positions at Bloomberg, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Qantas and McDonalds.

Landon continues a life-long service to the sport of basketball in Australia, heading up the Event Operations for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup following previous roles with Basketball Australia, Sydney Kings and the Sydney Olympic Games. Landon also serves as a Director of Sport Inclusion Australia and was formally a Commissioner for Women's Basketball with FIBA.

King welcomes the new team members as plans for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 continue to take shape.
