Group A: Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Guam

Group B: China, Japan, Korea, Chinese Taipei

It will be the said teams' turn to play in Window 1, with reigning three-time FIBA Asia Cup champions Australia hosting rivals New Zealand at the MyState Bank Arena in Hobart at 19:30 local time to kick things off.

Another Group A tiff will see the Philippines test the mettle of the debuting Guam in the latter's own floor at the Calvo Fieldhouse. The game, arguably the biggest in the Oceania side's history, is set at 19:00 local time.

A clash between two continental contenders will highlight the third offering of the day as Japan host the visiting Chinese Taipei at 19:05 local time at the new Glion Arena Kobe to open Group B play.

Capping off Friday's matches will be another rivalry affair featuring traditional Asian powerhouses as 2025 Asia Cup silver medalists China battle Korea at the Wukesong Sport Arena, set for a 19:30 Beijing time tip-off.
