    Zoltan Perl helped lead his side through to the Semi-Finals for the first time

    MUNICH (Germany) - Falco Vulcano Energia KC Szombathely's Zoltan Perl has been named the FIBA Europe Cup MVP for March; capping off a historic period for the Hungarian side.

    Perl guided Szombathely to the last four for the first time in its history, leading all players with 23.0 points per game on 56 percent shooting, as well as 3 rebounds and 3 assists in their Quarter-Final series win over KK Bosna BH Telecom.

    As a result, Szombathely's fairytale run will continue on with holders Surne Bilbao Basket standing between them and a place in the FIBA Europe Cup Final.

    Perl shot an impressive 11-for-19 from the floor as he poured in 29 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists to give Szombathely an 81-66 victory over KK Bosna in their Quarter-Final first leg.

    The guard followed that with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in a 78-70 defeat in Sarajevo, which was just enough to take Szombathely to the Semi-Finals.

    This season, Perl is averaging 18.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists on 57 percent shooting from the field, along with going a solid 46 percent from beyond the arc.
