XI'AN (China) – The road to the World Tour continues in China as the FIBA 3x3 Xi’an Challenger 2026 brings together another stacked field hungry for qualification points.
The fourth Challenger event of the season will feature strong teams from across the globe battling not only for the title, but also for three coveted tickets to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Amsterdam 2026.
Skyliners (GER) arrive as one of the headline teams behind the shot-making brilliance and experience of Stefan Kojic, while powerhouse Raudondvaris Hoptrans (LTU) will once again lean on the versatility and toughness of Evaldas Džiaugys.
China’s hopes will be carried by dangerous teams Hangzhou Jingwei (CHN) and DeQing (CHN), both eager to make a statement against elite international competition. Beijing (CHN) and hometown heroes Xi'an (CHN) might also turn some heads.
Barcelona (ESP) also enter the tournament as a genuine contender thanks to their physicality and size, while Princeton (USA) will represent the United States with a squad capable of making a deep run led by dynamic scorer Justin Pierce.
Bordeaux (FRA) and Kandava Turība (LAT) add even more depth to an already loaded draw, while Phoenix (USA) could become one of the tournament’s most intriguing teams with former NBA sharpshooter Kyle Guy making his FIBA 3x3 Pro Circuit debut.
Fans should also keep an eye on Taipei WanBao (TPE) star Leo Branquinho, whose creativity and explosiveness can change games in an instant, as well as Christchurch BBNZ (NZL) standout Te Tuhi Lewis, who recently led New Zealand to the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2026 title.
With so many experienced World Tour-level teams in the field, every pool game will carry major importance. A single hot streak or clutch performance could be the difference between an early exit and a ticket to Amsterdam.
