ISTANBUL (Türkiye) - The All-Star Five at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournament in Türkiye was headlined by TISSOT MVP Sami Whitcomb who provided the main thrust for unbeaten Australia.
She was joined in the coveted All-Star Five by four other players who showed out in Istanbul.

Whitcomb was a power at both ends of the floor for the Opals, finishing with almost 14 points per game and as their steals leader.
Kennedy Burke - Türkiye
Stats: 16.4 PPG / 8.2 RPG / 1.4 SPG / 1.0 BPG / 16.2 EFF Burke delivered when it mattered in her first FIBA tournament wearing a Türkiye national team vest. She kept her best displays for when her team needed it most during wins against Canada and Japan. Her scoring threat and athleticism added a new dimension.
Mai Yamamoto - Japan
Stats: 15.0 PPG / 3.6 APG / 2.0 RPG / 1.2 SPG / 13.8 EFF In what was be a nail-biting and roller-coaster ride for Japan, the guard was often the cool head and most consistent performer. She led the way in efficiency, scoring and also in terms of steals, to underline how important she was in taking her team safely to Berlin.
Dorka Juhasz - Hungary
Stats: 18.0 PPG / 9.0 RPG / 1.8 APG / 1.0 BPG / 20.2 EFF Juhasz was billed as the marquee baller who could catapult Hungary to a first ticket to the main show in 28 years and she came up with the goods. The center was outstanding with a record breaking game to start and similarly stellar show to inspire their last day victory.
Aaliyah Edwards - Canada
Stats: 12.6 PPG / 61 FG % / 9.0 APG / 17.6 EFF It proved to be bitter-sweet for Edwards, since Canada were ultimately squeezed out of a place in Berlin which will be hard to take. Especially since she produced her best ever displays for her country, coming close to harvesting a fantastic tournament double-double in points and rebounds.
