VALENCIA (Spain) - It was raining three-pointers on Wednesday night in EuroLeague Women as Valencia Basket become only the second team in the modern history of the competition to hit the 20 landmark from behind the arc.
The hosts lit it up from downtown in a 105-47 success against CS Rapid Bucuresti - surpassing their previous high mark in three-point shooting of 16, in 2024.
It was Chloe Bibby who led the way, with the recently signed Australian stepping onto the court for her first game of the campaign and sinking a stellar 6 of 7 from behind the three-point line.
No fewer than seven different players helped Valencia to reach the 20 milestone, including the highly-rated rising star Isabel Hernandez. The 16-year-old contributed to the victory with a memorable triple and her first in the tournament.
Valencia only just fell short of the all-time modern era record of 22 that was set by UMMC Ekaterinburg in the 2021-22 season.
