    MIES (Switzerland) - The penultimate day of FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments action witnessed some exceptional individual displays.

    We've picked out the Top Performers from March 15 and you can let us know who you think was Player of the Day by casting your vote in the fan poll below.

    First, here are the contenders who excelled the most.

    The highest performance efficiency valuation of 32 was recorded by Aaliyah Edwards who racked up a monumental double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds for Canada. However, it just wasn't enough to her her team over the line as they were edged out 66-62 by Japan.

    Meanwhile Julie Allemand of Belgium broke the steals record, along with the Cats also setting a new team steals and assists records after a classy 102-64 win against South Sudan.

    Allemand finished the contest with 12 points, 9 assists, a record 7 steals and 5 rebounds. She is also joined in the top performers lineup by her teammate Emma Meesseman, who helped cut down their opponents with an all-action 15 points, 5 assists, 5 steals, 4 boards and 3 blocks.

    It was also bitter-sweet for Melisa Gretter who rolled back the year's with a stellar offering for Argentina, but it was not enough to fuel victory. Despite the guard producing 24 points, 7 assists and 3 steals, her team came up short in an agonizing 92-81 overtime loss.

    Record-breaker Kang makes it rain

    Finally, Philippines were shot down by Korea 105-74, but there was one huge bright spot in the shape of Kacey Dela Rosa. She produced a sensational 26 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks.
