Let’s take a look at the players who delivered the standout individual performances. Cast your vote below in the fan poll and let us know who deserves to be named Player of the Day. Mexico didn’t have things go their way in the Group A loss to the United States, but veteran point guard Paul Stoll put on an individual show. The 40-year-old knocked down 6 of 7 from three-point range and went a perfect 5 for 5 from the free-throw line to finish with 25 points, along with 5 assists and 4 rebounds. In that same matchup, for the United States, which set new offensive records in the Qualifiers, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl showcased his NBA pedigree. He tallied 17 points (7-of-9 from the field), 7 rebounds, and 5 steals, making a major impact on both ends of the floor. Terry Taylor also delivered an all-around performance for the USA with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal. Meanwhile, Kai Jones joined the Bahamas’ squad after missing the first game of the window and turned in a strong showing despite the Group B loss to Puerto Rico. The big man, who plays for Anadolu Efes, contributed 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Finally, Tyran De Lattibeaudiere posted a monster double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, along with 2 blocks, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Jamaica’s Group B defeat against Canada.
