MIES (Switzerland) - Groups A and B concluded game day 2 to close a spectacular opening window of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers.
Who among these is your preferred pick?
Zhou Qi (CHN)
The Red Dragons will want to forget this opening window in a hurry. After all, getting shot out of two different buildings - one in China and the next in Korea - can be scarring to the psyche. Center Zhou Qui though, was expectedly solid down low, clocking 17 points and 15 rebounds at a +30 efficiency. He was literally perfect from the field - converting every one of his 6 shot attempts.

Justin Brownlee (PHI)
Prior to the start of this window, we said this might be the 37-year-old's swansong. But age doesn't seem to be slowing down this 200 cm / 6'6" power forward one bit, as evidenced by his very healthy 20 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds production, at +30 efficiency.
Fantasy points: 35
Nick Kay (AUS)
Davo Hickey commanded the headlines and the spotlight but Nick Kay continues to be the anchor of the Boomers whenever he plays. A solid all-around game of 20 points and 9 rebounds to go with 4 steals produced a +26 efficiency rating that has become the 'Nick Kay standard'.
Fantasy points: 29
Junghyun Lee (KOR)
One from Lee to another, 26-year-old Junghyun followed in the wake of Hyunjung's (below) previous historic performance. China had no answer to the 190 cm / 6'2" guard's 6 outside swishes, totalling 24 points, besides 4 assists, at a +26 efficiency.
Fantasy points: 35
Hyunjung Lee (KOR)
The 200 cm / 6'6" forward was so exceptional in the opening win against China, that his 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists at +23 efficiency seem pedestrian by comparison. Far from it. With the kind of gravity Hyunjung Lee attracted, it allowed his teammates, especially Junghyun, to have the space to take over primary flamethrowing duties.
