Anticipation for what is to come during the 2026-27 campaign has also been heightened by an intriguing draw, with the main question - is there a so-called Regular Season 'Group of Death'?

Group A
There's mouth-watering matchups in Group A as Casademont Zaragoza and Basket Landes both renew their rivalry after historic 2025-26 campaigns, including facing each other during their first ever Final Six appearances. Also, with their renowned support, those clashes will be memorable both on and off the court.
Meanwhile the ambitious 2026 EuroCup Women runners-up Athinaikos Qualco are stacking their roster and the Greek debutantes will be dangerous.

Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring will likely be favorites, especially having made the 2026 Final, as well as hanging onto the competition's MVP in Dorka Juhasz. Beretta Famila Schio have retained almost all of their roster so will bank on continuity, experience and quality as reasons to be challengers this year.
Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen of Belgium make a return after a few seasons away and will be out to cause some surprises.

There are two true heavyweight ready to go to work in Group C and not least, reigning champions Fenerbahce Opet who will inevitably be labelled as the tournament favorites once again. But they might be put to the test early against Valencia Basket Club who will want to bounce back after the real sting of missing Final Six last season.
CS Rapid Bucuresti will start the season against two frontrunners for silverware but will be confident they can cause some problems and fly the flag for Romanian basketball.

Group D
There are five collective EuroLeague Women titles won during the modern era by ZVVZ USK Praha and Tango Bourges Basket, who will be favored to fight it out for pole position in Group D. Both clubs are overhauling their respective rosters, so it will be fascinating to see if they live up to the billing as the two teams to beat.
AZS UMCS Lublin remain an unknown quantity as things currently stand, and in what could be arguably the most unpredictable and balanced group.
