    Brandon Gilbeck, Chinese Taipei

Sunday night was further proof of how high Chinese Taipei's level could get with Brandon Gilbeck in tow. Although they fell just short against China at the Mall of Asia Arena, the towering big man helped anchor their near-upset of the long-time continental giants with a complete line of 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks for an efficiency of 32 - the highest by any player in this particular gameday.

    Lee Hyunjung, Korea

Korea couldn't get the kind of Window 2 it wanted after bowing to Japan in Okinawa, but Lee Hyunjung did what he could, Facing off against some of his foes in the B.League, the Nagasaki Velca winger knocked down a total of five three-pointers and went on to finish with 28 points. Lee tallied an efficiency of 31 as he also collected 11 rebounds, a steal, and a block as he only rested for three minutes in the tight affair.

    Jack Andrew, New Zealand

In just his first-ever game in the World Cup Qualifiers, Jack Andrew wasted no time introducing himself. The 24-year-old finished with an efficiency of 27 as he registered 20 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the floor, including a triple, alongside 9 rebounds and a block in 22 minutes to lead New Zealand to a 99-67 rout of Guam.

    Jonathan Galloway, Guam

It sure was a tough loss for the Guamanians for it kept them winless although Jonathan Galloway provided a silver lining with a solid outing. The athletic big man finished with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal in a performance highlighted by a sick throwdown off a nice lob which you can watch above.

    Ray Chen, Chinese Taipei

Ray Chen was all-out personified as he tried to will Chinese Taipei past Team Dragon in their highly dramatic encounter in the venue which their predecessors cherish a lot. The star guard actually led all scorers with 26 points behind an excellent 9-of-15 shooting from the floor, highlighted by a pair of treys, and also chalked up 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal. Coach Gianluca Tucci lauded his charges despite the result for playing one of their best games and there should be no doubt whatsoever that Chen himself was a big reason behind that.
