MIAMI (United States) – On the second day of the Group Phase at the FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup 2025, the United States set a tournament record for most points in a single game (138) against Puerto Rico, among others. This Friday, in the Quarter-Finals, the American team once again displayed its offensive power in a dominant win over Panama (131-12), setting several new records in the process

Largest margin of victory
119 – USA 131-12 PAN All 11 U.S. players who took the court scored, with seven of them reaching double figures. Ivanna Wilson (26 points) and Jordyn Haywood (20) led the way as their team set a new record. The previous margin of 111 points was also held by the U.S., from a 128-17 win over the Dominican Republic in the 2009 Group Phase.
Most points in a quarter by a team
48 – USA vs. PAN During the Group Phase against Puerto Rico, the U.S. scored 46 points in a single quarter. In the Quarter-Finals, they topped their own mark with a 48-point first period.
Most assists in a game by a team
39 – USA vs. PAN The U.S. broke the previous record of 33 assists in a single game, which was shared with Mexico. The Mexicans had recorded 33 against the Dominican Republic during classification in 2007, while the U.S. matched that total in the 2021 Semi-Finals against Mexico.
Most field goals made in a game by a team
55 – USA vs. PAN The Americans tied their own record for most field goals made in a single game, previously set against Puerto Rico earlier in the tournament. In that game, they hit 48 two-pointers and 7 three-pointers. This time around, they knocked down 42 two-pointers and 13 from beyond the arc. Note: All statistical data referenced dates back to 2013.
