MUNICH (Germany) - The dust has almost settled on FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025, and it's the perfect time to reflect on the numbers of the tournament.
The facts and figures compiled by Opta give an insight into some of the players and teams putting themselves into the record books of Europe's flagship women's event.
Comeback queens
Belgium won the 2023 and 2025 titles despite trailing at half-time in the Final on both occasions - only one other team managed to win a Women’s EuroBasket Final after trailing at half-time in the previous 14 editions (Czechia vs Russia in 2005).
Dimes for days
37.8 assists were made on average per game in the Women’s EuroBasket 2025 - the highest average in a single edition over the last 30 years.
Emma-VP
Emma Meesseman (16 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists) became the first player to have 15+ points, 10+ rebounds and 5+ assists in a Women’s EuroBasket Final over the last 30 years.

Alba Torrens climbed into seventh place on the all-time FIBA Women's EuroBasket scorers list - the Spanish legend took her total points to 749 across 52 appearances. Incidentally, the next number to catch in sixth spot: 777.

The number of points per game that were scored in the Women’s EuroBasket 2025 - the most since the 1997 edition (144.1) and the fourth most in a single tournament overall.
Dominant Shepard
Jessica Shepard posted tournament numbers of 22.7 points and 11.3 rebounds per game - becoming only the third player to average 20+ points and 10+ rebounds in a single edition over the last 30 years after Malgorzata Dydek (24.4ppg, 10.9rpg) and Jonquel Jones (24.3ppg, 17.0rpg) both in 2021.
Record margin
The 111-37 victory of France against Switzerland (+74) was the biggest winning margin for a team in a Women’s EuroBasket in the 21st century - and largest since 1976 when Soviet Union beat Belgium 127-48 (+79).
Sharpshooters
13.7 - the highest average of three-pointers scored per game in a single edition of Women’s EuroBasket 2025 over the last 30 years.
Spanish success
With their runners-up finish, Spain matched France's tally of 12 medals in Women's EuroBasket history - only the Soviet Union (22) and Czechoslovakia (15) have accrued more.
Maiden triumph
Portugal claimed their first-ever win at the Women's EuroBasket in what was their debut appearance. They defeated Montenegro 63-49 in the final group game in Brno.
