    MUNICH (Germany) - There were some fabulous individual performances across the opening week of EuroLeague Women as the new campaign came swinging into action with some memorable matchups.

    Kayla Alexander imposed herself brilliantly for Valencia Basket Club in their 97-74 road win at Olympiacos SFP. The powerful Canadian had a super first half and eventually signed off with a performance efficiency valuation of 30 after racking up a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds.

    While she was shining in the frontcourt, her teammate Hind Ben Abdelkader was going to work in the backcourt and the Belgian guard excelled with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

    Galatasaray edge Schio in epic; Reyer come alive to surprise Mersin

    Eleanna Christinaki did her best to try and help the home team keep pace with the visitors but the Greece national team winger couldn't prevent Olympiacos from falling - despite an excellent 26 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

    Swedish ace Klara Holm was unstoppable for Spar Girona as they cut down VBW Gdynia 83-56 off the back of the guard producing an all-action 15 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

    Finally, Helena Pueyo was the game-winner for Casademont Zaragoza as they won a brilliant edge-of-the-seat clash at Basket Landes, 73-70. The Spanish star made 8 of 11 from the field on her way to 23 points - as well as serving up 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
