Competing in international hoops has helped elevate the level of play of these basketball superstars.

MIES (Switzerland) - Many of the top players in basketball that happen to be stars in FIBA competitions, too, have made the recent NBA 2K26 Top 10. The ranking is based on their efforts at club level the past season.

We're taking a look at the standouts who find themselves in the overall rating (OVR) rankings list.

    1. Nikola Jokic - SRB (98 OVR)

Jokic spearheaded Serbia's run to the podium at the Paris Olympics

Universally recognized as one of the best players in the world the past several years, the Serbia center made the All-Star Five at the 2024 Olympics after spearheading his country's run to the bronze medal. His 31.0 efficiency per game was far and away the highest of any player at the event.

Jokic, a silver medal winner at the 2016 Olympics, a NBA champion and 3-time MVP, will lead his national team at FIBA EuroBasket 2025, which tips off on August 27. Serbia are the heavy favorite for this competition.

    2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - CAN (98 OVR)

SGA made his Olympic debut in France

The Canada talisman has been as dynamic as any point guard in international basketball the past three years. The top player for his national team at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, where he fired his team to a spot on the podium for the first time in competition and was rewarded with a spot in the All-Star Five, SGA then made his Olympic bow in Paris and was the event's second leading scorer at 21.0 points per game.

Gilgeous-Alexander became an NBA champion for the first time in 2024-25 and was named as the league's MVP.

    3. Giannis Antetokounmpo - GRE (97 OVR)

Giannis was the MVP of the FIBA OQT in Piraeus

The "Greek Freak" has represented Hellas since the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2014 in Spain and shone bright in all of the national team events he has played in, including in 2024 as the MVP of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Piraeus.

The NBA champion and 2-time NBA MVP then finished as the leading scorer at the Paris Games with an average of 25.8 points per game. Will he be on top of the list again in a few days at FIBA EuroBasket 2025?

    4. Luka Doncic - SLO (95 OVR)

Doncic's MVP performance in Kaunas led Slovenia to their first Olympic berth, in Tokyo

Since making his Slovenia debut at FIBA EuroBasket 2017 as a teenager and claiming a spot in the All-Star Five after reaching the top of the podium at the event, Doncic has been a juggernaut in FIBA ball. He put his national team on his back in 2021 and led them to victory at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Kaunas and then to a fourth-place finish in Tokyo.

At EuroBasket 2022, Doncic erupted for 47 points - the second most in competition history - in a win over France - and then dazzled the following two summers for his country. He will once again represent his country this week at EuroBasket 2025.

    5. Anthony Edwards - USA (95 OVR)

Edwards was in the All-Star Five of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup

The high-flying Edwards claimed a spot in the All-Star in his first event with the United States, at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 in Manila, where he averaged 18.9 points per game.

"Ant", as explosive a player that there is in basketball, one that both attacks the rim and also beats opponents with mid- and long-range jumpers, showed off his amazing talent at the Paris Olympics in 2024, as gold-medal winning USA's fourth leading scorer at 12.8 points per game.

    6. Stephen Curry - USA (94 OVR)

Curry made 9 3-balls and had 36 points in USA's come-from-behind triumph over Serbia in Paris

Curry put on, arguably, the two best shooting performances in olympic basketball history when he led the USA to a come-from-behind win over Serbia at the Paris Olympics in the Semi-Finals, and then over France in the Gold Medal Game. The two-time FIBA Basketball World Cup winner's combined 17 of 26 explosion from deep and 60 points over the two games made sure the Americans clinched Olympic gold for the fifth consecutive time.

The four-time NBA champion has twice been MVP of the league.

    7. LeBron James - USA (94 OVR)

James was the MVP of the 2024 Olympics

By claiming his third Olympic gold medal in Paris and earning the title as the event's MVP, James further cemented his place as one of the sport's legends. James averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists in France, adding to his sterling reputation. The four-time NBA champion has also claimed four league MVP awards.

James captured Olympic bronze in 2004 and was on the USA team that finished third at the 2006 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

    8. Jayson Tatum - USA (94 OVR)

Tatum made a big splash on his Olympic debut in Tokyo

A champion with the USA at the FIBA U17 and FIBA U19 Basketball World Cups, Tatum graduated to the senior team and already, at 27, owns gold medals from the Tokyo Olympics and the Paris Games. At the Summer Games in Japan, Tatum, relying on his blend of power, finesse and skill, averaged 15.2 points per game as USA stormed to the title.

He represented USA at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

    9. Victor Wembanyama - FRA (94 OVR)

Wembanyama earned a place in the All-Star Five at the Paris Olympics

In his only tournament with the senior nation team so far, at the Men's Olympic Basketball Tournament Paris 2024, "Wemby" revealed himself to be one of the best players in the sport after nearly averaging a double-double. Wembanyama carried the torch as France overcome a stuttering start and reached the Gold Medal Game, where the USA held on to win a thrilling contest. The 2.22M (7FT 3IN) alien averaged 15.8 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per contest.

What's more, his 1.7 blocks per game were tied for second. Wembanyama had shown signs of superstardom by leading France to the Final of FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup in 2021.

    10. Kevin Durant - USA (94 OVR)

Durant is arguably the greatest USA Olympic basketball player of all time

The international basketball resumé of KD is second to none. He made a huge splash by claiming the MVP Award at the 2010 FIBA Basketball World Cup and has since claimed four straight Olympic gold medals as a leader in the USA teams, especially in scoring.

His best Olympic display was probably at the Tokyo Games, when Durant averaged 20.7 points per game and was honored as the event's MVP. The two-time NBA champion has also claimed the honor as league MVP.
