The Knights dominated the Pythons from start to finish, improving their record to 2–0.

TRIPOLI (Libya) - Right after beating NPA Python on Gameday 2 of the 2027 Road to BAL, the Spintex Knights celebrated a moment that made Ghana proud and gave young players back home hope of competing at the continental level.

Their 88-66 win over the Liberian team marked the first time in their Road to BAL history that the Ghanaian team had won two games in a row.

The Knights are now one step closer to reaching the Road to BAL Elite 16 round for the third consecutive time.

In a relatively quiet game for the starters, who combined for 41 points, the reserves stole the show.

Rwandan international Justin Uwitonze came off the bench and connected on eight of 13 three-pointers to finish with a game-high 24 points.

Benjamin Omari, who contributed 10 points off the bench, said the win was "for the young players who have to believe that they can play at this level. It's a moment of pride for our country," he added.

The Spintex Knights' Road to BAL journey began in 2024 when they advanced to the Elite 16 round but returned home with an overall record of 1–5.

A year later, the Ghanaian powerhouse made it to the Elite 16 in Praia, Cape Verde, but lost in the semifinals. They finished with a 3–4 win–loss record.

With one game left in Group B of the ongoing Road to BAL in Tripoli, the Knights are stronger than ever with a perfect 2–0 record.

"Our goal this time is to go all the way to the BAL," said Knights head coach Selorm Thomas.

They will conclude their Group B campaign in Tripoli against Benin's Energie BBC (1-1).
