With one game left for each team in Group A, Al Ittihad extended their unbeaten run and Staoueli moved to a score of 1–1. It all comes down to Friday's final matchday.

TRIPOLI (Libya) - A clearer picture is now emerging of Group A of the 2027 Road to BAL.

The four contenders took to the floor of the Grand Hall in Tripoli, where hosts Al Ittihad maintained their unbeaten run.

Meanwhile, Kriol Star played their first game, Nadi Basket Staourel bounced back, and Stade Malien looked for answers.

"For us, it was all about bouncing back after last night's loss. We had a team talk at our hotel, established a game plan, and executed it perfectly once we had identified Stade Malien's strongest points," said the Nadi Basket Staourel head coach after their 92–77 win over Stade Malien.

This result sees the Algerian team improve to 1–1 with one game remaining on Friday, while the Malian champions, who played their first game after a forfeit win against Kriol Star, struggled to find their rhythm.

    Al Ittihad remain perfect

The main takeaway from Al Ittihad's 86-66 win against the depleted Kriol Stars is that the Cape Verdean team faces an uphill battle for the rest of their Group A campaign.

Although Kriol Star showed some resilience in the first half, they were left chasing the result in the second half after forfeiting their opening game the day before.
