Skyliners win the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Abu Dhabi 2025

Skyliners defeated Miami 19 - 17 in the final to win the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Abu Dhabi 2025.

ABU DHABI (UAE) - Skyliners (GER) stood tall in Abu Dhabi, defeating Miami (USA) 19 - 17 to win the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Abu Dhabi 2025 on October 26.

The German side came all the way from Qualifying Draw to the final with a perfect run of their own. Led by Stefan Kojic and Leon Fertig, the side were firing offensively in the lead-up to the all-important finals clash, last defeating Ub in a statement semi-final victory.

They would take on Miami, who have been on-form over the last couple months, making a consistent run to the finals time and time again. They went unbeaten from pool play all the way to the final in Abu Dhabi, last defeating Amsterdam in the semis to book yet another finals bout.

Miami started off hot, locking down defensively and draining buckets thanks to Henry Caruso and Mitch Hahn. Skyliners answered back though, a huge two-pointer from Leon Fertig came with the foul to tie things up.

Both teams set a hectic offensive pace, notching buckets back-and-forth in the first half of action. Skyliners maintained a slight advantage for most of the proceedings. Fertig and Kevin Bryant got buckets for the German side with Dylan Travis joining in the flurry to keep his side close.

Mitch Hahn turned the intensity up late on, attacking the rim to tie scores at 12 apiece, just over 3 minutes left on the clock. Skyliners would score but Henry Caruso would make a huge heave from deep to answer back. The frenzy went on down to the wire, both teams unable to separate away from the other.

With seconds to go, Fertig came in clutch, drilling the winning two to hand Skyliners a historic 19 - 17 victory over Miami. It would be the German side’s first World Tour and they do so in style in Abu Dhabi.

Leon Fertig was relentless all tournament, pushing the pace for his side offensively. He led the Skyliners in player value (46.3) and in scoring with 30, 10 of them coming in the final against Miami. His impact was undeniable, earning him MVP plaudits

In the individual contests, Hsin-wei Wang (Taipei WanBao) won the Shoot-out contest presented by Al Ain Water while Piotr “Grabo” Grabowski won the Dunk Contest presented by Al Masaood Automobiles.
