    FIBA today announced that Shanghai, China will host the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Final from 2025-2028

    Shanghai (China) - FIBA today announced that Shanghai, China will host the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Final from 2025-2028, securing a long-term home for the flagship women's pro circuit event.

    Shanghai will create a festival-like atmosphere for the next four editions of the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Final. The city’s energetic atmosphere will provide a perfect backdrop for both players and fans, transforming the event into a true celebration of the world’s most thrilling urban team sport.

    Following an epic opening showdown of the Women’s Series in Chengdu in May, the finale in Shanghai will be held in an iconic site downtown, exact location still to be announced on 13 and 14 September 2025. The competition will bring together the top seven teams from the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series regular season, alongside host nation China, to battle it out for the championship title.

    The FIBA 3x3 Women's Series 2024 Final shattered previous records for online engagement, with impressions hitting 5.6 million, up from 2.6 million in 2023. Viewership also rose by 150% to 4.5 million from 1.8 million. Additionally, engagements rose by 90% to 0.2 million from 0.1 million, underlining the global popularity of women’s 3x3 basketball.

    The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series, established in 2019, is the world's top competition for professional female 3x3 players. Previous champions include France (2019 and 2024), Germany (2021), and Canada (2022 and 2023), showcasing the global and competitive nature of the series
