RIGA (Latvia) - The FIBA EuroBasket 2029 Pre-Qualifiers First Round draw in the Latvian capital Riga will mark the beginning of the road to the next edition of the flagship event against the backdrop of Europe's biggest stars.
The ceremony will take place at 10:30 CET on Monday, September 8 and will be livestreamed on the official FIBA YouTube channel.
The 10 national teams competing in the First Round of the Pre-Qualifiers have been seeded according to the FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by Nike and will be split into three groups. One group will consist of four teams and the other two groups will be comprised of three teams each.

The First Round of the Pre-Qualifiers will be played across three windows: November 2025, February 2026, and June-July 2026.
Four teams - the three group winners and the best-ranked runners-up will advance to the Second Round where they will join eight teams from the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers First Round.
