The ninth season of the Basketball Champions League is now in the record books, too.

MIES (Switzerland) - As Unicaja lifted their second Basketball Champions League trophy, it marked the end of another record breaking season.

A total of 108 million video views were registered since the start of the season, with the season ending Final Four, powered by SUNEL bringing in 25 million video views, an increase of 127 percent compared to Season 8's Final Four in Belgrade.

There were 1.3 million engagements during the Final Four in Athens in May, another proof of the digital growth as it's an 83 percent higher number than last season. Overall, Season 9 saw 4.8 million engagements on BCL's social channels, followed by a total of 2.6 million followers across Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and YouTube.

The official website of the competition ChampionsLeague.basketball recorded 4 million page views, with 10.1 percent of traffic coming from Greece. Spain had 9.6 percent, while the United States ranked third with 8.6 percent.

It wasn't only the League that was growing, as plenty of clubs were also on the rise in 2024-25. Promitheas Patras BC Vikos Cola grew by 132 percent in the number of their followers, Filou Oostende climbed by 67 percent, while Falco-Vulcano Szombathely, FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets and Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball rounded up the top five.

SL Benfica's X account got 5,000 new followers, putting them up by 17 percent compared to the start of the season, the most by any BCL club on that channel.

The champions Unicaja improved their following on Instagram by 13,000 (23 percent), while Pallacanestro Reggiana were followed by 7,000 new accounts on TikTok.

With all the record numbers in Season 9, the stage is set for an even better Season 10.

The club lineup will be announced next week.
