MIAMI (United States) – The schedule for the FIBA U16 AmeriCup 2027 South American Qualifiers is set, and the five participating national teams now know their game order. Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela will face off from October 21-25 at Gimnasio Municipal de Castro in Chile, with a spot in the continental tournament at stake.
The competition will be played in a round-robin format, with the five teams forming a single group. Each team will play four games, one against each opponent. The team that finishes first in the standings will earn direct qualification to the FIBA U16 AmeriCup 2027. A second spot could also be available depending on the host selection for the continental tournament, which will be announced at a later date.
