When it comes to great performances, there has never been a better one in the U20 EuroBasket's history than what Mantas Juzenas displayed in Lithuania's 112-67 blowout of Poland in Group B. The forward poured in 46 points to snap the previous mark of 45 by North Macedonia's Vlado Ilievski in 2000. Juzenas added 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal for an efficiency of 55. That bested the previous record of 49 by Serhiy Lishchuk of Ukraine from 2002.
France turned the game around against Germany with a 27-11 second quarter in cruising to a 95-66 victory to finish Group A at 3-0. Timeo Pons came off the France bench on target from long range and never stopped, burying 6 three-pointers for a team-high 23 points in just 19 minutes. He also grabbed 10 rebounds to go with 1 assist, 3 steals and 1 block.
Hosts Slovenia rolled to a third victory in three games as they blasted Romania 95-51 in Group D. Four players scored in double figures for the hosts and the top scorer was Mark Padjen with 17 points. The point guard also chipped in 3 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals.
Serbia remained perfect in the tournament with a comfortable 89-66 victory over Latvia in Group B. Every player scored for the winners but Nikola Dzepina was the main weapon with 20 points. The power forward also picked up 8 rebounds to go with 3 assists and 2 steals.
Türkiye rallied from 16 points down to lead on Italy in the waning moments, but the reigning champs Italy grabbed the 71-67 win. Salih Altuntas did all he could for the Turks with 12 points, 14 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks, but they were not enough.
