BUCHAREST (Romania) - CS Rapid București marks a historic milestone for Romanian women’s basketball, becoming the first Romanian club o participate in the prestigious international circuit FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series 2025, the elite global competition dedicated to women's 3x3 basketball. Debut in Vienna, followed by Orleans and Bucharest Rapid’s official debut will take place on June 13 in Vienna, one of the most highly anticipated stages of the season. The next stops for the team are: Orleans (France) – July 9–10 • Bucharest (Romania) – July 11–13, at ParkLake Shopping Center International lineup, experienced coach, and a clear vision Rapid enters the circuit with a strong international roster featuring players from France, USA, Lithuania, and Romania, coached by Seda Erdoğan, a former international player for Turkey and current head coach of CS Rapid București. Hortense Limouzin (France) – 2022 3x3 World Champion, European Champion, Olympian at Paris 2024; Martyna Petrėnaitė (Lithuania) – double European medalist in 2023 (Europe Cup & European Games); Natalie Kucowski (USA) – former WNBA draft pick, active in international 3x3 competitions; Alina-Maria Podar (Romania) – member of the Romanian national 3x3 team at the World Cup and European Games; Alexandra Malina Bobar (Romania) – participant in the Francophone Games, active in Romania’s national league. Rapid is making history.” One of the most experienced players on the team, Alina Podar, shared her thoughts on the excitement of competing at this level and the team’s ambitions: “I’m really happy to be part of this project. We’re not just representing Rapid – we are the first Romanian club team to ever play in the Women’s Series. We’re aiming for a strong start in Vienna, to show that we’re ready and that Romania has a voice in international 3x3 basketball.” ParkLake Stage – 3x3 Show in the Heart of Bucharest Between July 11–13, 2025, Rapid will host an official FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series stage at ParkLake Shopping Center in Bucharest. The matches will take place in a spectacular urban setup, with music, public activations, player interactions, and an authentic 3x3 vibe.
