    ISTANBUL (Türkiye) - Hungary have landed a spot at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 after getting the win they needed against Türkiye to claim their ticket.

    It was Dorka Juhasz who came to the party with 24 points. 9 rebounds and 5 assists to help Hungary take an 89-74 success, a result which ended the hopes of Canada who had needed Türkiye to win to advance.

    Star center Dorka Juhasz has felt at home in Istanbul. The Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring star has lit it up for Hungary with some exceptional shows. Not least her record-breaking opening day salvo against Japan and then signing off with a big show in the decisive finale.

    But when they really did need it, Reka Lelik, Debora Dubei and Virag Takacs-Kiss also turned up with tremendous contributions in the deciding game against Türkiye.
