MUNICH (Germany) - It's the last week of EuroLeague Women action in 2025 and every team stepping out in the Second Round will be looking to sign off on a winning note ahead of the winter break.
One of the most intriguing contests will see Casademont Zaragoza coming off their amazing fightback win at Valencia Basket Club, hosting a Fenerbahce Opet side that are unbeaten and returning to the same court where they relinquished their title back in April.
The second gameday of the Second Round sees three exciting matchups scheduled for Wednesday, December 17, with the other three contests set to take place for Thursday, December 18.

Safe Pick🔒
Fenerbahce Opet were close to unstoppable in the first round and, with Gabby Williams back and playing as if she had never missed a beat, they have found yet another gear. Casademont Zaragoza showed unbelievable resilience in last week’s dramatic comeback against Valencia, it was heartbreaking and heroic in equal measure, yet I cannot see that steely mindset being enough here. Fenerbahce simply have too many ways to win.
50/50🪙
This week’s coin toss is Basket Landes against Valencia Basket Club - a clash of two teams with very different trajectories. Landes keep impressing. They deliver consistent, disciplined basketball and that reliability translates into wins almost every week. However, Valencia will still feel the sting of how last week unravelled against Zaragoza. There is enough talent and pride in that roster to provoke a reaction. I expect a tough battle that may well go down to the final possession.
Wildcard 🃏
On paper at least, Umana Reyer Venezia should take care of business at home against DVTK HUNTHERM. Yet Reyer looked oddly disjointed last week and paid a heavy price for it. Their team concepts never quite clicked, which left them chasing the game rather than controlling it. If that lull carries into this round, an ever improving DVTK have a real opportunity to steal a lifeline win
