MUNICH (Germany) - With a number of upsets already posted in the opening two weeks of the new EuroLeague Women season, it's causing predictions to be even more challenging ahead of Gameday 3.
This week there are five games on Wednesday, October 28, followed by three more on Thursday, October 29.
Which clubs will make it third time lucky and get their first wins of the season? Athinaikos Qualco and Basket Landes meet in what looks a crunch game, with both teams eager to get off the mark and looking to avoid an unthinkable 0-3 record.
On the flip-side, there is an exciting matchup between Casademont Zaragoza and Kibirkstis-TOKS who are both unbeaten and looking to be the one that extends their perfect record to three games.

Expert Picks
This season we're once again calling on the one-two punch of FIBA's global women's basketball specialist Paul Nilsen and EuroLeague Women lead commentator Mark Mills for their predictions.
This week it's Paul who has his second outing of the campaign with his Gameday 3 predictions.
Game | Expert Pick |
|---|---|
Athinaikos Qualco (6-10) | |
Fenerbahce Tarfin (16-20) | |
Tango Bourges Basket (6-10) | |
Emlak Konut (1-5) | |
Valencia Basket Club (20+) | |
Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring (11-15) | |
Casademont Zaragoza (1-5) | |
Beretta Famila Schio (16-20) |
Safe Pick 🔒
Valencia Basket Club were hoping to follow up their Gameday 1 mauling by Fenerbahce Tarfin with a win against Flammes Carolo Basket, but fell short. A third home defeat is unthinkable, especially against struggling CS Rapid Bucuresti. The Spanish side should see their depth and quality deliver a much needed victory.
50/50 🪙
Both Casademont Zaragoza and Kibirkstis-TOKS are flying and something will have to give. It looks a real coin toss, with Zaragoza having home advantage and also an in-form Merritt Hempe, but Kibirkstis won last week at Basket Landes - a tricky place to get a result. They also did it without making their usual splash from downtown.
Wildcard 🃏
Despite losing last week at Bourges, could Emlak Konut maybe surprise ZVVZ USK Praha in the Czech capital? They have the muscle in Stephanie Mavunga and Pallas Kunaiyi to matchup with Brianna Fraser and Frieda Buhner so this could be an opportunity to make a statement. Even if Praha should still be favorites on their home floor.
