RIJEKA & OPATIJA (Croatia) - Four teams are still dreaming of promotion from the FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2026, Division B as they reached the Semi-Finals, topped by Poland shocking hosts Croatia with a three-point game-winner at the buzzer.
Belgium, Czechia and Netherlands are the other three teams who advanced to the top four.

Swirydowicz drains Croatia's hopes with three at buzzer
Poland booked a ticket to the Semi-Finals with a shocking comeback in the final minute to beat previously undefeated hosts Croatia 68-66.
The Croatians were up 66-59 with 56 seconds left but Hubert Swirydowicz hit a free throw and three-pointer and Piotr Losiak added two foul shots with 4.7 seconds to go to cut the deficit to 66-65.
Swirydowicz batted away the ensuing in-bounds pass, ran it down and set his feet for a three-pointer from the right corner at the buzzer and it went in for win.
Swirydowicz and August Chalup both scored 14 points to lead Poland, who beat Croatia at the U18 age category for the second time in seven matchups and the first time since 2005.
Croatia spurned an outstanding performance by Tomislav Vuckovic with 26 points and 14 rebounds.
Belgium waste 22-point lead, roll past Hungary
Belgium remained on course to earn promotion right back to Division A as they saw a 22-point lead wiped out, but still rolled past Hungary 69-61.
The Belgians led 27-5 in the first quarter but trailed 38-35 early in the second half. They were back ahead by 14 points by the end of the third quarter and were not challenged the rest of the way.
Aaron Ona Embo led the way for Belgium with 26 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.
Houska near triple-double carries Czechia past Romania
Czechia moved within one victory of promotion to Division A as they defeated Romania 69-65 to reach the Semi-Finals thanks to a near triple-double from Marek Houska.
The Czechs pulled away for good with an 11-0 run early in the fourth quarter. Houska collected 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in the win while Alexandr Krob scored 18 points for Czechia, who improved to 3-0 all time against Romania.

Netherlands allow only three third quarter points in win
Netherlands moved into the Semi-Finals after easing past Georgia 79-50 to set up a date with Czechia.
Netherlands finished off the game for good by allowing just 3 points in the third quarter to remain perfect in the competition.
Skye Bergens scored 23 points and Tayshawn Gipson added 19 points for Netherlands, who last played in Division A in 2019 after taking the Division B title in 2018.
