MUNICH (Germany) - Peristeri Betsson became the latest team to advance to the FIBA Europe Cup Quarter-Finals on Wednesday night.
The Greek outfit's win also means Aliaga Petkimspor has sealed its spot in the next round - after they moved to 4-0 last week.
Peristeri bag Quarter-Final spot as they beat battling Zaragoza; Petkimspor also go through
Peristeri Betsson overcame Casademont Zaragoza 86-70 to advance to the Quarter-Finals alongside Aliaga Petkimspor from Group N.
Despite leading from start to finish, Peristeri didn't seem comfortable and had to withstand numerous spells of pressure from Zaragoza, but the Greek side did just enough to keep their Spanish counterparts at bay - spoiling the debut of former NBA player Josh Richardson.
Ty Nichols paced Peristeri with 18 points, 4 assists and 3 steals, supported by 15 from Spanish guard Alvaro Cardenas Torre.
Santi Yusta led Zaragoza with 16 points on the night, but are eliminated with this loss.
Meanwhile, UCAM Murcia, Surne Bilbao Basket, PAOK BC, KK Bosna BH Telecom and Pallacanestro Reggiana already secured their places in last week's Gameday 10 action.
