MIAMI (United States) – The 2025 COCABA Women's Championship will be held at the Polideportivo Alexis Argüello in Managua, Nicaragua, from July 22 to 27, as announced by the FIBA Regional Office in the Americas. The tournament will bring together the top women’s national teams from Central America and is part of the qualification pathway for the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2027. The top three teams will secure their spots in the 2026 Centrobasket Women’s Championship. El Salvador is the reigning champion of the COCABA Women’s Championship, having won the 2023 edition as the host nation. Guatemala and Costa Rica completed the podium. The COCABA Women’s Championship plays a vital role in the development of women’s basketball in the region, offering Central American national teams the opportunity to compete at the international level and aim for higher-tier tournaments.
