VIENNA (Austria) - After a short breather, the exciting FIBA 3x3 Women's Series 2025 resumes with the Vienna Stop on June 12-14.
Top seed Netherlands were the dominant force in the first quarter of the season after winning two titles and a runner-up finish at the most recent stop in Baku.
Led by superstars Noortje Driessen and Janis Boonstra, the Netherlands will enter as the favorite but do face early tests in Pool A against Madrid (ESP) and former World Cup champs Italy, who boast OG Raelin D'Alie.
After two quarter-final appearances this season, Italy will be aiming to push the Dutchwomen in a Day One blockbuster. They will be seeking revenge having exited at the hands of the Netherlands in Amsterdam and Baku.
No.2 seed Singapore will return after their final eight effort in Chengdu and they headline Pool B featuring CS Rapid Bucharest (ROU) and African powerhouse Madagascar.
Austria are aiming to be the host with the most and they will be riding tidal wave of passionate fan support as the No.3 seed. Hopes are high for Austria to top Pool C but Gyor (HUN) loom as a formidable opponent with the Hungarians boasting scoring machine Klaudia Papp.
The third team in Pool C will emerge from the QD featuring Egypt, Romania and Portugal.
There is much anticipation as fourth seed Ukraine will make their season debut and they will need to be ready from the get go against dangerous fifth seed Prague VSC (CZE).
The third team in Pool D will come from the QD consisting of Ireland, Rome (ITA) and Toronto (CAN).
