BAKU (Azerbaijan) - The FIBA 3x3 Women's Series heads back to Azerbaijan as a loaded 16-team field arrives for the fourth edition of the Women's Series Baku on July 18-19.
Home side Neftchi SOCAR (AZE), who have already won two stops this season, lead the seedings and return with added firepower as Brianna Fraser makes her long-awaited return after missing the team's recent Women's Series stops. Fraser last suited up during the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Shanghai in May, and her presence immediately strengthens a squad eager to put on a show in front of the home fans.
Second seeds Rapid Bucharest (ROU) arrive riding a wave of confidence after making history at FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Caceres. Powered by tournament MVP Ainhoa Gervasini, Rapid captured their first-ever Women's Series title and now look to prove that breakthrough was only the beginning.
Third-seeded Chile (CHI) continue to establish themselves as one of the fastest-rising teams on the circuit. Young standout Fernanda Ovalle has impressed throughout the season and recently spearheaded Chile's successful campaign at the FIBA 3x3 Youth Nations League 2026 - Americas North, giving the South Americans plenty of momentum heading into Baku.
Completing the top four is Spain (ESP), who once again boast the depth and experience to challenge for another FIBA 3x3 Women's Series podium.
Contenders Galore
Several dangerous contenders will also be eager to make a deep run. Austria (AUT) enter as the fifth seed, while Latvia (LAT) continue to build momentum after several encouraging performances this season. Czechia (CZE) remain a consistent threat, and Lithuania (LTU) will look to unleash one of the tour's most dynamic scorers in Kamile Nacickaite-van der Horst, who has already guided Lithuania to a runner-up finish in Bucharest and another strong showing in Caceres.
The action begins with the Qualifying Draw, where Slovakia (SVK), Kampala (UGA) and Slovenia (SLO) battle for one Main Draw berth, while Azerbaijan (AZE), Brazil (BRA) and Benin (BEN) compete for the other available ticket.
Once the Main Draw tips off, Neftchi SOCAR headline Pool A alongside Lithuania and Prague (CZE). Rapid Bucharest take on Czechia and Singapore (SGP) in Pool B, while Chile face Latvia and the Qualifying Draw A winner in Pool C. Pool D features an intriguing European showdown between Spain and Austria, with the Qualifying Draw B winner completing the group.
With returning stars, reigning champions, emerging talents and hometown favorites all in the mix, another spectacular weekend of 3x3 basketball awaits in Baku.
