Eight teams will compete in Mexico and Chile from August 8–10 for the final four spots in the Americas Qualifiers.

    MIAMI (United States) – FIBA’s Regional Office in the Americas announced that the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Pre-Qualifiers will be held in Mexico and Chile from August 8 through 10. Mexico will host Group A at ITSON Arena in Ciudad Obregón, where the competing teams will be: Barbados Costa Rica Jamaica Mexico Meanwhile, Group B will take place at the Coliseo Antonio Azurmendi in Valdivia, Chile. The participating teams will be: Chile Cuba Ecuador El Salvador Each group will compete in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the remaining four spots in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers.
