ANTANANARIVO - Earlier this year, the International Basketball Foundation (IBF) launched a humanitarian project to help impoverished children in Madagascar, by making a difference in their lives through basketball and the promotion of education.

The project is well underway, with the children already getting the most out of the help provided by FIBA's Foundation.

In fact the project is now entering its second phase. During the launch ceremony of this second step in the two pilot schools, over 200 underprivileged children received school kits.

Further supplies were given to the schools and to teachers.

A canteen was put in place to give out lunches twice a week and basketball training sessions have officially started.
