SHANGHAI (China) – Hangzhou Jingwei (CHN) became the fourth different winner in four FIBA 3x3 World Tour stops this season after capturing the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Shanghai 2026 crown on May 24.
Led by tournament MVP Vuk Borovićanin, Hangzhou Jingwei completed a remarkable run by defeating Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL) 19-16 in the Final to secure their first FIBA 3x3 World Tour win since 2023.
The 24-year-old Borovićanin was sensational throughout the tournament and once again delivered on the biggest stage, finishing with 8 points in the Final while helping Hangzhou control the game with elite shooting, physicality and composure.
Dominating the Final
The Final initially looked competitive as Ulaanbaatar jumped out to an early 3-1 lead, but Hangzhou quickly settled behind the hot shooting of Borovićanin and Goran Vidovic.
Back-to-back two-pointers helped Hangzhou seize momentum before their ball movement and physical defense completely took over. By midway through the game, Hangzhou had built a commanding 14-6 advantage.
Ulaanbaatar attempted a late rally and cut the deficit to three points in the closing minute, but Hangzhou stayed composed to close out a memorable 19-16 victory.
MVP Borovićanin shines all weekend
Borovićanin proved to be a true rising star throughout Shanghai. The Serbian erupted for 11 points in Hangzhou’s crucial Day 1 victory over Skyliners (GER), helping create a dramatic three-way tie in Pool B before Hangzhou advanced as group winners.
He then delivered another clutch performance in the Quarter-Finals, throwing down a thunderous early dunk before helping Hangzhou survive Baskets Bonn (GER) in overtime. Milos Supica eventually sealed that thriller with a game-winning two-pointer.
Borovićanin continued his brilliance in the Semi-Finals against Crvena Zvezda (SRB), knocking down key shots as Hangzhou cruised into the championship game.
