SHANGHAI (China) – Vuk Borovicanin of Hangzhou Jingwei (CHN) delivered a spectacular tournament at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Shanghai 2026, earning Most Valuable Player honors after leading his team to a memorable win.
Borovicanin was the driving force behind Hangzhou Jingwei’s remarkable run as they became the fourth different winner across the opening four FIBA 3x3 World Tour stops of the 2026 season.
The 24-year-old Serbian wunderkind consistently delivered in the biggest moments. After exploding for 11 points in a crucial Day 1 win over Skyliners (GER), Borovicanin continued to shine throughout the knockout rounds with his elite shooting, physicality and energy.
He helped Hangzhou survive a dramatic overtime Quarter-Final against Baskets Bonn (GER), powered them past Crvena Zvezda (SRB) in the Semi-Finals and then scored 8 points in the Final against Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL).
Borovicanin finished the tournament ranked first overall in player value (45.2) and total points scored (34), while also producing 18 highlights throughout the weekend.
His electrifying performances and leadership proved instrumental in Hangzhou Jingwei securing this major result.
Borovicanin received the MVP trophy from the Deputy Secretary of Chengqiao Town CPC Committee and Mayor of Chengqiao Town, Chongming District, Mr. Wang Xu Hui. Borovicanin capped off one of the most dominant individual performances of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2026 season so far.
