Hamburg heats up as top teams battle for World Tour qualification

Amsterdam, Toulouse and Toronto headline loaded field with Ulaanbaatar tickets on the line.

HAMBURG (Germany) – The FIBA 3x3 Hamburg Challenger 2026 is set to deliver another thrilling chapter on the road to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour as elite teams gather in Germany for the fifth Challenger stop of the season.

With three tickets to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Ulaanbaatar 2026 up for grabs, the stakes could not be higher as some of the game’s biggest names and most dangerous squads collide in Hamburg.

Leading the field is powerhouse Amsterdam RABOBANK (NED), who once again arrive as one of the tournament favorites behind superstar Worthy de Jong. The Dutch sensation remains one of the most electrifying players in 3x3 basketball with his trademark athleticism, creativity and clutch scoring ability.

French contenders Toulouse (FRA) will also attract plenty of attention thanks to the presence of Franck Seguela, one of the sport’s most accomplished and consistent stars. Toulouse continue to establish themselves as a major threat on the international circuit and will be eager to secure another strong Challenger result.

Toronto (CAN) enters Hamburg with serious firepower as well, spearheaded by Belgian sharpshooter Thibaut Vervoort. Known for his elite perimeter shooting and relentless energy, Vervoort gives Toronto the ability to stretch defenses and punish opponents quickly.

Spain will be heavily represented with several dangerous squads in attendance. Fuengirola (ESP), powered by Diego De Blas, will look to continue their rise on the Challenger circuit, while Barcelona (ESP) and Valencia (ESP) also bring quality and experience into the competition. Valencia will lean on the imposing presence of Iván Aurrecoechea, whose physicality and interior dominance make him one of the toughest matchups in the field.

There is no shortage of additional talent expected in Hamburg. Liberec’s (CZE) Filip Novotny remains a proven scorer capable of erupting offensively, while Cibona’s (CRO) Roko Spaseski adds even more depth and explosiveness to an already loaded tournament lineup.
