She hit five three-pointers in the first quarter and finished one shy of equalling the tournament record of eight by going 7-for-14 from beyond the arc, ending with 37 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals in a huge display that led to Israel beating Poland 80-79 to progress to the Semi-Finals.
In just 24 minutes on the court, Iceland’s Rebekka Steingrimsdottir took advantage of her opportunity, helping her side to an 86-61 win over Sweden in the Classification 9-16 clash. The guard had 24 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and an eye-popping 9 steals.
Pauline Bayart opened the door to the Semi-Finals for Belgium with a sublime performance, showcasing her deadly accuracy from the field as she shot 8-for-10 for 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals in her side’s 84-67 triumph over Croatia.
Despite falling to a narrow defeat to Israel, Poland’s Natalia Rutkowska posted a near triple-double; falling one assist shy, settling for 14 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals in a solid display.
Germany are playing for positions at the tournament now, but are determined to finish as high as possible, with Clara Bielefeld a standout in their 74-52 victory over Serbia. She posted a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and finished with 8 assists, two away from what would have been a deserved triple-double. She also swatted away four shots.
