SHANGHAI (China) – Six teams have secured their places at the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Project Redwings Shanghai Final 2026, with just two spots still to be confirmed heading into the season-ending showdown in one of the world's most vibrant cities.
The Netherlands (NED), Ulaanbaatar Amazons (MGL), Rapid Bucharest (ROU), Neftchi SOCAR (AZE), Beijing (CHN) and China (CHN) have all booked their places at the Final, setting the stage for another star-studded tournament in China on September 5-6.
Six teams punch their tickets
The Netherlands headline the confirmed field after putting together another strong FIBA 3x3 Women's Series campaign, earning their place among the teams bound for Shanghai. The Dutch are second overall in the WS standings, having won five WS stops so far.
They will be joined by Mongolia's Ulaanbaatar Amazons, who continue to make their mark on the global 3x3 basketball stage, as well as Rapid Bucharest of Romania and Azerbaijan's Neftchi SOCAR. Ulaanbaatar are currently the No. 1 team in the standings, having won two WS stops in Ulaanbaatar and Jinan while being among the most consistent top performers throughout the year. Neftchi and Rapid have also each won two WS stops so far.
China currently sit behind France (FRA) in the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series standings, but that is set to change at WS Takasaki. With China competing in Takasaki while France have no more events remaining, China will move ahead of France in the standings and secure their place at the Final.
As a result, home fans will have plenty to cheer about at the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Project Redwings Shanghai Final 2026, with both Beijing and China already assured of their spots.
Shanghai ready for another Women's Series Final
The FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Project Redwings Shanghai Final 2026 will take place on September 5-6 at the West Bund Art Center in Xuhui District, Shanghai.
It will be the second consecutive year that Shanghai hosts the Women's Series Final, following Canada's triumph at the 2025 edition.
The 2026 event will also mark the fifth FIBA 3x3 Women's Series event held in China this season, following the Chengdu, Shanghai, Xiantao and Jinan stops.
With two more berths to be filled, the complete field for the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Project Redwings Shanghai Final 2026 will be confirmed following WS Takasaki.
