MIAMI (United States) – FIBA’s Regional Office in the Americas officially unveiled the logo for the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2027, which will take place from July 3-11, 2027 at Gimnasio Nacional Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador. The championship’s new image reflects the intensity and passion of women’s basketball while paying tribute to the vibrant identity of the host country. The visual concept conveys a nation in motion— modern and constantly evolving, projecting dynamism, confidence and national pride. It also incorporates references to El Salvador’s volcanic landscape, with a basketball emerging from the trophy to symbolize the explosive force of the game and the energy of the fans.
Its dynamic lines and contemporary graphic elements represent the speed, competitiveness and excitement of basketball. Festive patterns inspired by Salvadoran culture rise from the lower portion of the design, bringing authenticity, color, and personality to the event’s identity. Blue and white represent the national flag and symbolize unity, confidence and clarity. Turquoise evokes the country’s skies and seas, while fuchsia references El Salvador’s national tree and women’s empowerment. Meanwhile, the warm tones throughout the composition allude to the sun, optimism and energy.
