    MIAMI (United States) - The Cuban Basketball Federation has informed FIBA that it is not in a position to guarantee the proper organization of the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers home games, due to the current situation in the country. Consequently, the following games will take place at the Roberto Durán Arena in Panama City, Panama: Friday, February 27, 2026: Cuba vs. Panama Monday, March 2, 2026: Cuba vs. Uruguay The tip-off times will be confirmed in the coming days. This decision aims to ensure operational certainty for the upcoming Qualifying Windows, while safeguarding the integrity of the competition. All other Group D games in Windows 2 and 3 remain scheduled as originally planned.
