    MIAMI (United States) – The race to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 enters its decisive stage as the Second Round gets underway, with the 12 teams that advanced from the opening phase still in contention for one of the seven available berths to the tournament in Qatar. Brazil (6-0), the United States (5-1), the Dominican Republic (4-2), Mexico (3-3), Colombia (3-3) and Chile (2-4) will compete in Group E, while Canada (6-0), Uruguay (5-1), Argentina (5-1), Puerto Rico (2-4), the Bahamas (2-4) and Panama (2-4) will battle for qualification from Group F.
