FIBA Statement regarding the game between Venezuela and Colombia for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers

    Due to the current geopolitical situation in the region, FIBA has decided to postpone the game between Venezuela and Colombia for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers, that was scheduled for Sunday, November 30, 2025, in Venezuela.

    This decision was taken to ensure operational certainty and the safety of all participants, as well as to protect the integrity of the competition.

    The game will be rescheduled to a date no later than the end of Window 3 of the Qualifiers (7 July 2026). The new game date will be communicated at a later stage.
