Bosna down Murcia and Neftchi seals historic first win
KK Bosna secured its first win of the campaign as they led from opening tip to final buzzer in a deserved 87-72 win over UCAM Murcia.
Edin Atic led the victors with 19 points and 6 assists, and Chase Audige added 15, as the Bosnian side shot an impressive 60 percent from the field, while holding their Spanish visitors to just 37 percent. Dylan Ennis led Murcia with 15 points, but they suffered their first loss.
Neftchi IK sealed their historic first-ever FIBA Europe Cup win in the most sensational circumstances, as Devonte Green shone in their 95-84 victory over BC Kalev/Cramo.
It was Green who forced overtime, as he got his own rebound off a missed three and casually hit the runner on the buzzer. He then hit four points in the extra period, as the Azerbaijani debutants held their Estonian counterparts to just three points to secure a big win.
Green led the way with 35 points, which included going 7-for-12 from three-point land, 13 rebounds and 4 steals. Tyson Acuff led BC Kalev/Cramo with 20 points.
Melwin Pantzar played the role of playmaker extraordinaire as he dished 14 assists in Bilbao's 105-51 win at PUMPA Basket Brno. Pantzar also added 15 points, assisting Tryggvi Hlinason and Martin Krampelj's team-high 17 points each.
