HUNGARY (3x3) - After the two qualifiers staged in Latvia and Hungary, 24 teams from 20 countries have clinched qualification for the second edition of the FIBA 3x3 U18 European Championships.

    DEBRECEN (2016 FIBA 3x3 U18 European Championships) - After the two qualifiers staged in Hungary and Latvia, 24 teams from 20 countries have clinched qualification for the second edition of the FIBA 3x3 U18 European Championships, which will be staged in Debrecen, Hungary on 9-11 September.

    Both reigning champs will get a chance to defend the title won in Minsk, Belarus last year. Turkey's men are back with 3 of the 4 players who led them to gold last year, including Tanalp Sengün who finished 2nd in scoring at the Latvia Qualifier. Hungary's women were automatically qualified as hosts (though they played and finished 8th in the Hungary Qualifier).

    France's women will have an opportunity to win the double after winning the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan on 1-5 June.

    France is one of only four countries, which will have both men's and women's teams in Debrecen. The other three are Belgium, Czech Republic and Hungary.

    Women: Spain (1st in Lativa), Belgium (2nd in Latvia), Russia (3rd in Latvia), Switzerland (4th in Latvia), Netherlands (5th in Latvia), France (1st in Hungary), Lithuania (2nd in Hungary), Czech Republic (3rd in Hungary), Israel (4th in Hungary), Belarus (5th in Hungary), Austria (6th in Hungary), Hungary (7th in Hungary and hosts)

    Men: Slovenia (1st in Latvia), Latvia (2nd in Latvia), Serbia (3rd in Latvia), Romania (4th in Latvia), Turkey (5th in Latvia), Germany (6th in Latvia), Czech Republic (1st in Hungary), Belgium (2nd in Hungary), Hungary (3rd in Hungary and hosts), Georgia (4th in Hungary), France (5th in Hungary), Andorra (6th in Hungary)
