MUNICH (Germany) - The EuroLeague Women Regular Season is here and there are some incredible opening matchups to enjoy, including the Game of the Week between Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding and Valencia Basket Club.

That is just one of eight encounters taking place on what promises to be a super Wednesday on October 4 as the new campaign swings into action in style.

Game of the Week: Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding vs Valencia Basket Club

Reigning EuroLeague Women champions Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding have already caught the eye with a remarkable display last week as they picked up their maiden SuperCup Women title with a crushing win against LDLC ASVEL Feminin.

They will be favorites to open up their Group A account with a home win, but an ambitious Valencia Basket Club are stacked with talent and will be gunning to make a first Final Four this season. They have also had cause for celebration in recent days after they won the Spanish SuperCup title against archrivals Perfumerias Avenida.

You can watch the live broadcast of the game between Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding and Valencia Basket Club with commentary on the EuroLeague Women YouTube channel on Wednesday, October 4 at 18:00 CET.

Key matchup: Belgian star Emma Meesseman remains the go-to star for Fenerbahce and she will carry the main threat as usual. Unstoppable when she gets rolling, nobody will be higher on the Valencia scouting report. However, the visitors have their young star Raquel Carrera to call upon in the paint. The forward is growing in confidence and influence in the competition and comes into this season having also impressed with her displays at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 when she faced Meesseman in the Final.
