    Canada reveal final line-up

MURCIA (2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship) - Canada head coach Rich Chambers is ready to take his final 12 players to the FIBA U19 Women's World Championship next weekend.

MURCIA (2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship) - Canada head coach Rich Chambers is ready to take his final 12 players to the FIBA U19 Women's World Championship next weekend.

With the final cuts to the candidate list having been made in recent days, the team is on European soil for a preparation tournament in Spain, which will see them match-up against the hosts, Australia and their familiar neighbours, USA.

"This group is full of hard-working athletes who made the most of our training camp," declared Chambers, who will step down after the action concludes in Chekhov and Vidnoe.

"We have come together and we are ready to test ourselves against some of the world's best," he added.

Chambers will be assisted by Scott Edwards who took the reins two years ago in Lithuania and guided Canada to the Quarter-Finals as shooting guard Jamie Weisner made the All-Tournament Team.

This time around, much will be expected from another shooting guard, Bridget Carleton, who led her country at last year's FIBA U17 Women's World Championship in the Czech Republic.

Meanwhile without the influential Shaylisha Colley, who played two years ago, the experience of Daneesha Provo will also prove important as she was the only other 1996-born player to step out at the 2013 edition.

"We look forward to seeing these athletes build on their previous international experience and compete against the best in the world in their age-group," added Denise Dignard, Director Women's High Performance.

Canada will play in Group C against Belgium, Mali and France.

Canada final roster for 2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship: Bridget Atkinson, Bridget Carleton, Julia Chandler, Maurane Corbin, Cheyenne Creighton, Danielle Garven, Mael Gilles, Nancy Kessler, Jaelyne Kirkpatrick, Emma Piggin, Daneesha Provo, Lauren Yearwood.
